Letting Conditions
Reservations/Payment
Telephone or e-mail reservations will be held a maximum of 7 days, after which provisional bookings will be cancelled unless the deposit is received.
From November to April, weekend and midweek bookings are available. From May to October, bookings are on a weekly basis, Friday to Friday.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking. This and the remaining payment may be made by cheque or bank transfer.
The balance of 75% is due not later than 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your stay. If booking is less than 6 weeks in advance, the whole amount is payable immediately.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be notified as soon as possible by telephone and confirmed in writing.
If there is less than 6 weeks to the commencement of the stay, then the full fee is forfeited, unless we are able to re-let the cottage. We therefore recommend that insurance is taken to cover this eventuality.
Arrivals and Departures
The cottages are available from 4.00 p.m. on the day of arrival, and we ask that our guests leave by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure.
General Conditions
We ask that the accommodation be left in the same condition as at the beginning of the stay (with the exception of dirty linen of course). Any undue damage will be charged.
Whitehall Farm is a non-smoking premises. We reserve the right to ask smokers to leave. Due to the presence of the pond in the garden and our own cat we ask that children be aged 7 or above, and that guests do NOT bring pets (with the exception of guide and hearing dogs if notified on booking).
We aim to give our guests a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and so reserve the right to expel any guests whose behaviour is, in our view, detrimental to this aim, or who try to accommodate additional guests without our permission.
We also reserve the right to enter the property at any time, but will aim to confine this to emergencies only.
We shall be under no liability for any act, neglect or default for any loss, damage, expense or accident, injury or inconvenience whether to the person(s) or property, which our guests may sustain during their stay.
Payment of the deposit implies the acceptance of these conditions.
